Sean is a Physics major from Bethesda, MD. While physics is his foremost academic interest, he hopes to attend medical school upon graduating. Outside of school, he is a baseball fanatic as well as a member of the Science Enrichment After School club. He is proud to be a part of Team CAPTURE and excited by the implications of the project.
Pablo is a Chemical Engineering major from Rockville, MD. Besides Gemstone, he enjoys playing intramural soccer and club tennis. As a member of Team CAPTURE, Pablo hopes to gain a better scientific understanding about renewable and sustainable manufacturing practices. He is eager to make advances in this field alongside his fellow teammates.
Eli is a Material Science & Engineering major with a Nuclear Engineering minor from Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to Gemstone, Eli works at Terrapin Works and the Radiation and Polymer Science Lab. Outside of academics, he participates in club running and terrapin skiing. He eagerly anticipates participation in Team CAPTURE.
Patrick is a Chemical Eengineering major from Bethesda, MD. Outside of class, he enjoys playing basketball, football, video games, and percussion. Academically, he is interested in the economic and thermodynamic efficiency of renewable energy generation and storage. He’s excited to be a part of Team CAPTURE and to explore the potential of carbon capture.
Jonathan is a Materials Science & Engineering major from Potomac, Maryland. When not in class, Jonathan likes to stay active by participating as a practice squad member for the women's basketball team. He looks to use what he learns in his major and Gemstone to build his knowledge of materials and nano-structures.
Hojin is a Chemical Engineering major with a Sustainability Studies minor from Cockeysville, MD. He represents the Gemstone program in the Honors College Student Board and rocks the saxophone in the Gamer Symphony Orchestra at Maryland. In the future he plans to aid the world in its transition to more sustainable energy sources. He's excited to contribute to the scientific community through Team CAPTURE's vision.
